Known as the Romford Bull, Johnny Fisher is a heavyweight built in the mould of the old school era. Born into a boxing family that live and breath the sport, it was only right that Johnny Fisher would lace up the gloves too. With a fighting style that fans can't help to enjoy and a following that continues to grow, with the help of his father Big John Fisher, Johnny Fisher looks set to become a serious contender in the heavyweight division.

Someone who enjoyed playing Rugby alongside boxing as a child, eventually made the decision to focus on the sweet science during his time as a university student. With a brief amateur career of only 10 fights, and sparring heavyweight contender Joe Joyce as youngster, Fisher was quickly moved into professional boxing with promotional compant Matchroom Boxing alongside Eddie Hearn.

The move looked to be worthwhile for all parties. The Romford Bull has had a great start to his young career. Tallying up 12 wins, 11 of them by KO. Fisher's most notable win was in his most recent fight against Alen 'The Savage' Babic, stopping Babic in the first round of a dominating display. Fisher is looking for bigger step ups in competition, but if he keeps knocking people out it's only a matter of time before he secures himself a big fight.

As the current era of heavyweights looks to be coming to an end, Johnny Fisher looks like he could starting his career at the perfect time! As the dominant heavyweights in this era, like Usyk and Fury, begin to exit the sport, it could leave a void needing to be occupied. Daniel 'Dynamite' Dubois has put himself the driving seat to be the face of the division in years ahead, but Johnny Fisher will be looking forward to building his reputation as a legit threat to heavyweights across the world.

Interesting fights have been suggested for Fisher, like young American Jared Anderson or fearsome prospect Moses Itauma down the line. There is no rush to move Johnny Fisher and the heavyweight division is a precarious realm to plan for, as Eddie Hearn knows all too well. But if Fisher can remain dominant in his victories and keep stopping his opponents before the final bell, then the Romford Bull will be a really exciting addition to the heavyweight division.
